The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s 16th annual Taste of Lancaster County was held on April 15 at the Lancaster County Convention Center. More than 700 people were in attendance at the event to sample delicacies from 35 restaurants, caterers and beverage purveyors. More than $47,000 was raised, which will go directly to fighting hunger throughout the Food Bank’s 27-county service area. Proceeds are raised from sponsorships, ticket sales, donations and silent auction/raffle sale.
The Taste of Lancaster County is made possible by the support of many sponsors, including Panera Bread and Susquehanna Bank as the Master Chef Sponsors and PSECU as the Executive Chef Sponsor for the event. Other sponsors included Rodgers & Associates, Lawn Equipment Parts Company, Cooper-Booth Wholesale Company, GIANT Food Stores, High Company, Joan Ruffle, M.D., and Worley and Obetz. Media sponsors were WGAL TV-8, 92.7 WRKZ Classic Rock and The Rose 101 FM. In all, 37 area restaurants, caterers, food and beverage purveyors, along with entertainers, volunteers and sponsors donated their time, money, and other resources to support this annual premier event.
