26th Annual Taste of Central Pennsylvania Scheduled for October 27 at Strawberry Square
Tantalize your taste buds with nearly 50 restaurant and beverage establishments at the Taste of Central PA.

Where is the only place to sample delicacies from the area’s finest restaurants, all under one roof? The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s premier fundraising event, the Taste of Central Pennsylvania, which is scheduled for Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Strawberry Square in Harrisburg.
Approximately 50 area restaurants, caterers, food and beverage purveyors will provide samples of their delicacies to more than 1,000 patrons. The Taste of Central PA will raise approximately $100,000 to help feed hungry families in our area. Now in its 26th year, the Taste of Central Pennsylvania has generated more than $2.5 million dollars since 1988 for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to win items through a deluxe raffle and cast their votes in the People’s Choice award for favorite vendor. Among the items available in the deluxe raffle are: a Christmas Escape Package for two at Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse, four tickets, hospitality passes, a parking pass and sideline visit during the game for the Nov. 23 Penn State-Nebraska football game, a one night stay at Blair Mountain Bed & Breakfast, Chef’s Table for eight at Bonefish Grill, a framed and autographed Dave Matthews Band 2013 Hershey concert poster and a football signed by Penn State football head coach Bill O’Brien. Here is just a small sampling of the many vendors who will be on hand to provide specialty menu items: Bricco, Devon Seafood Grill, Final Cut Steak House, Hilton Harrisburg, Passage to India, Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen, Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse, Radisson Hotel Harrisburg, The Hotel Hershey, Appalachian Brewing Company, Mount Hill Tavern, Trattoria Piatto, What If…of Hershey, Helena’s Chocolate Café & Creperie, Café Bruges, and many more. Entertainment will be provided throughout the event by Nate Carabello, Gent’s Nite Out, Jazz Me Trio, and Pat Cusick.
The Taste of Central Pennsylvania will begin at 11 a.m. with a Champagne Reception at Hilton Harrisburg, and will be followed by a Private Taste from Noon – 1 p.m. at Strawberry Square. The Main Taste Event begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. A deluxe ticket, which includes the Champagne Reception, Private Taste and Main Taste Event, is $70 in advance and $75 at the door. A ticket for the Private Taste that includes the Main Taste Event is $45 in advance and $50 at the door. A ticket for the Main Taste Event is $25 in advance and $30 at the door. All-day tickets for children ages 6 – 12 are available for $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
