Central Pennsylvania Food Bank Expands Leadership Team
Director of Development and Regional Director - Northern Tier join the Food Bank team.

The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is pleased to announce the hiring of two additional professionals to enhance its Leadership Team. Jennifer Powell, has joined as Director of Development and Eric Orndorff has joined as Regional Director – Northern Tier.
Powell most recently served as a fundraising consultant with a Lancaster firm and prior to that had served for more than 11 years as Executive Director at Clare House, a transitional shelter for homeless women and children. She brings more than 20 years of experience as a non-profit fundraising professional and has earned the designation of Certified Fundraising Executive from CFRE International. Powell also has served on numerous non-profit boards and is the current Board Chair for The Family Health Council of Central Pennsylvania. She noted, “I am excited to lead the Food Bank’s expanded efforts in fund development and business development. Long-term revenue growth will be vital to support the Food Bank’s growing food security mission and its increased emphasis on distributing more nutritious food”.
Orndorff most recently served as Project Manager for Michael Baker Jr., Inc. in Harrisburg and prior to that served as Survey Group Director for Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc., also based in Harrisburg. He brings 15 years of experience in project management, logistics, and surveying and also holds a master of science degree from the University of Florida and a bachelor of science degree from Penn State University. Orndorff will manage the Food Bank’s Williamsport facility and direct all transportation and logistics operations in eleven north central Pennsylvania counties. He stated, “I developed a deep interest for this work serving with the food distribution at Ministerio del Pan in Harrisburg and leading Scouting for Food drives as a Den Leader. I am looking forward to helping the Food Bank increase its mission impact in its heavily rural northern counties, where great need exists, but excellent opportunities reside as well”.

With the addition of these two accomplished professionals, we believe our Food Bank is well positioned to continue growing our nutritious offerings in all of our 27 counties and also continue providing excellent service to our Partner Agencies so that Central Pennsylvanians in need will always have a place at the table of plenty.”
