Our fight against hunger involves hundreds of companies in a variety of ways. For instance, volunteers pack boxes of mixed groceries donated a grocery store or from a food drive which are delivered throughout our 27 county territory on a truck donated by a large corporation. This is just one example of the many strong, multi-level corporate partnerships we have with local and national companies.
Corporate Food Donations
We do our best to make donating easy for you and ensure you that your donation will be handled safely and efficiently. Donating products does more than make the donor feel good. It’s also a smart business practice. Here’s why:
- Recoup significant tax savings. The tax deduction usually equals cost basis plus one-half the unrealized profits.
- Save on storage costs and dumping fees on products that can be moved.
- Reduce waste of good product.
- Build your public image by supporting hunger relief efforts in your local communities.
- Corporate donors are protected from liability by the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Act.
