Ensuring that your operation meets food safety regulations and passes health inspections is a critical component to your success. Serving quality foods in a clean, sanitary and safe environment is essential for all well-run operations. When you train your food service staff they are more likely to exceed food safety standards, ultimately keeping customers SAFE!
This eight-hour course is required for any operation cooking and serving meals, snacks, or providing cooking classes for clients. A minimum of one staff or volunteer must be trained in safe food handling. Once you have successfully passed your ServSafe® certificate will be valid for 5 years. A passing score of 75% is required to receive a ServSafe® certificate. A one hour lunch break (on your own) will be provided.
The ServSafe® training will cover the following concepts:
- Good personal hygiene
- Time and temperature control
- Preventing cross-contamination
- Cleaning and sanitizing
- Safe food preparation
- Receiving and storing food
- Methods of thawing, cooking, cooling and reheating food
- And more...
REGISTRATION AND COURSE FEE
Registration opens at 7:45 a.m. and class begins promptly at 8 a.m. and concludes with the test following training. Participants MUST attend the entire training.
Space is limited and will be available to the first 15 registrants. Registration must be completed online. Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 1, 2017!
