The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (Food Bank) respects individual privacy and is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of our site visitors.

The Food Bank takes special care when handling information you provide us. The only personal data we gather from you is that which you voluntarily provide. We do not track visitors through the use of cookies*, and only use general statistics gathered from our site traffic for our own purposes.

If you are making a donation, for example, the Food Bank uses encryption software to help us keep your personal information, including your credit card number, secure. The information provided over our secure data lines is used only to process your request. Online donors will be added to the Food Bank’s donor database, and will receive periodic mailings from the Food Bank. The Food Bank will never sell, share, or trade site visitor’s personal information with anyone else. We will not send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. Personal information will be shared ONLY if the donor has given the Food Bank permission to do so. Should you wish to opt out of receiving any or all mailings from the Food Bank you may do so by contacting the Food Bank by mail, telephone, or e-mail. Any information you choose to provide to us in an e-mail may not be secure, and is used only to respond to your request.

The Food Bank does not require site visitors to provide us with personal information in order to contact us, or to be added to our e-mail alert list. The Food Bank website may include links to other sites, such as government or health agencies and hunger related websites that can provide you additional information. While we strive to link only to sites that share our high standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of other sites. If there are any changes to this policy, we will post the changes immediately. Any information given to us prior to a change in policy will still be protected by the policy that was in place when you provided us with the information.
