Map the Meal Gap 2015: Child Food Insecurity In June 2015, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and Feeding America released a new study which revealed that children are struggling with hunger in every county and congressional district in America. In the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s 27-county service area, the study revealed that approximately 18% of children under the age of 18, more than 121,000 children, are struggling with hunger in the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s 27-county service area.
