The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank distributes more than 48 million pounds of food and grocery products, equivalent to more than 40 million meals, every year to more than 900 soup kitchens, shelters, and food pantries in 27 central Pennsylvania counties. These agencies directly feed thousands of hungry families throughout central Pennsylvania.
The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s Health Innovations Program connects its emergency feeding network and consumers served by these programs with members of the medical community in an effort to promote health and wellness and nutrition education. Penn State Health is one of multiple healthcare partners in our service area that are engaged in this outreach effort. For more information on partnership opportunities, contact our Health Innovations Coordinator, at 717-564-1700.
