Overview & Mission
To reduce hunger in Central Pennsylvania, with the ultimate goal of ending hunger in the area. The mission is pursued primarily by soliciting, warehousing, processing and distributing nutritious food and grocery products to a network of community organizations that directly serve people who are hungry. The Food Bank is also committed to increasing public awareness and understanding of the hunger problem.
The Food Bank distributes food through a network of community agencies that is comprised of emergency pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior citizen programs and childcare centers.
