In the coming months, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank will have the opportunity to significantly increase the number of senior citizens who receive much-needed supplemental food boxes through our Elder Share program. This is a wonderful opportunity to help more seniors living on a fixed income than ever before! We are looking for groups of volunteers who can commit to a monthly or quarterly shift of packing and preparing boxes of food for distribution to seniors throughout Central PA.

Please consider helping us fight hunger, improve lives and strengthen communities by donating your time.

Needed: Individuals or groups of volunteers (8-12 individuals is ideal) to pack Elder Share boxes.

When: A monthly or quarterly commitment during daytime hours is preferred. There will be some evening availability.

Where: Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, 3908 Corey Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109

How long: Three or six hour shifts are preferred.

For more information or to schedule volunteer shifts, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Jim Burns at 717.564.1700, ext. 3012 or jburns@centralpafoodbank.org
