The Williamsport Branch of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank opened in November 2002 to address hunger relief issues in north central Pennsylvania. The facility began serving member agencies from its original 6,500 square foot warehouse facility.

In November 2004, the Williamsport Branch relocated to an expanded facility measuring 19,200 square feet, which includes 558 pallet locations, office space, a conference room, bulk storage, "small volume" selection area, as well as a cooler and freezer. The Williamsport Branch also operates direct service initiatives, such as the Elder Share program.

Currently, the Williamsport Branch serves more than 100 member agencies in these north central Pennsylvania counties-Bradford, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, Union.
