Our Corporate Partners play an active role in the fight to end hunger in central Pennsylvania. Local, national, and global companies contribute dollars, volunteer hours, and millions of pounds of food each year.
Amazing things happen because of partners like you!
Consider sponsoring a program or event. We will work with your company to meet your goals as a sponsor and find the best fit between our mission and your business objectives. Some opportunities include:
Soup and a Bowl: Annual event that includes a simple meal of soup and bread, paired with a take-home pottery bowl to serve as a reminder of the historical food offerings at soup kitchens.
Top Taste: Culinary tasting event at our Healthy Food Hub where local chefs prepare dishes using items found at the Food Bank.
Hunger Action Month Breakfast: September is Hunger Action Month, a time not only when the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank asks the public to act on the issue of hunger, but a time when we honor those who support our mission of fighting hunger, improving lives, and strengthening communities throughout the year at our annual breakfast event at our Healthy Food Hubs.
Turkey Drive: Support our community during the holiday season and help everyone have a seat at the table with delicious proteins like turkey and ham! Your support will help your neighbors in need have all the ingredients they’ll need for a healthy, joyful holiday season.
Giving Tuesday: Make an impact during #GivingTuesday! Together, we can make a lasting difference for families at risk of missing meals during the holiday season and throughout the year.
Agency Workshops & Conferences: Educational day of learning and celebration for partner agencies of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
Available Sponsorship Opportunities:
BackPack: Nutritious kid-friendly food for the weekend and when school is closed for at-risk children in schools grade K-12.
Kids Cafe™: Healthy meals and snacks served year-round on weekdays to kids in after-school and summer meal programs.

Use your corporate power for community good.
Time is a gift to hungry kids, seniors, and others who may not have enough to eat. Volunteering with your co-workers is an excellent team building exercise. Volunteer groups of 25 to 30 are easily accommodated and both day and evening hours are available.
- Schedule a volunteer shift at one of our Healthy Food Hubs online or call our Harrisburg office at 717.564.1700 or our Williamsport office at 570.321.8023.
Corporations can help with food donations in a variety of ways!
Corporate Food Donations
We do our best to make donating easy for you and ensure you that your donation will be handled safely and efficiently. Donating products does more than make the donor feel good. It’s also a smart business practice. Here’s why:
- Recoup significant tax savings. The tax deduction usually equals cost basis plus one-half the unrealized profits.
- Save on storage costs and dumping fees on products that can be moved.
- Reduce waste of good product.
- Build your public image by supporting hunger relief efforts in your local communities.
- Corporate donors are protected from liability by the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Act.

Virtual Food Drive
If you or your company has participated in traditional food drives, please consider a Virtual Food Drive this year! Your donation will go further using a virtual food drive and provides a simple and immediate way to help end hunger in central Pennsylvania. More importantly, it eliminates the high costs of handling food items.
Every $1 donated helps the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank provide six meals to those in need. A virtual food drive enables the Food Bank to obtain and distribute most needed healthy and nutritious food such as fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products and center of the plate proteins.
