Capital Area Public Human Resources Association Virtual Food Drive!

Capital Area Public Human Resources Association (CAPHRA) has a long-standing history of giving back to the community in various ways throughout the years, including various fundraising and hands-on assistance during local events.

We have assisted Central Pennsylvania Food Bank in the past with the Soup and a Bowl and the Taste of Central PA events and wanted to go a step further. In that spirit, CAPHRA has named Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (CPFB) its Service Mission Partner for the 2018 – 2019 season! We are hosting a virtual food drive where you can help our neighbors by donating funds towards foods of your choice. CPFB can stretch each dollar donated to purchase a great deal of food, so save a trip to the store and donate today!

Today, 1 in 9 Pennsylvanians struggle with hunger – 1 in 6 are children. For every $1 donated, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank can help provide 6 meals to those in need.  Because of the Food Bank’s wholesale purchasing ability and efficient distribution model, a virtual food drive gift multiplies the impact of your generosity. A virtual food drive also enables the Food Bank to obtain and distribute most needed healthy and nutritious food such as fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products and center of the plate proteins.
