#HungerHeroStories

UGI has been a supporter of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank for more than 20 years.  When the pandemic began to significantly impact central Pennsylvania, it became clear to UGI that food insecurity would be an urgent issue.  Hard-working families were suddenly faced with no income and an uncertain future.  UGI immediately announced a large gift to the Food Bank to aid in our crisis response and have continued to support us throughout the past six months.

“Our employees live and work in the communities we serve,” said Tammie Lowry, Community Relations Manager for UGI.  “Our success as a company is directly tied to the vitality of our communities.  UGI has always been a committed partner to those who help close to home and the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank is providing a critical service to families during a time when the impact of the COVID-19 crises remains widespread.  UGI is proud to support a partner that responded quickly to the need in the community.”

We thank UGI for all they do to help us fight hunger in central Pennsylvania, proving that we are truly, better together.  To learn more about UGI’s commitment to the community, please visit: https://www.wgal.com/article/utility-company-gives-back-during-pandemic/33796047  #HungerActionMonth
