Hunger Isn’t Selective.

Tinia of Lycoming County has a sunshine-like demeanor, with flowing, golden hair to match. A school-bus driver of four years, she loves working with kids. She and her current husband have eight children between their two families, followed by 14 grandchildren. The newest granddaughter was born just this morning.

Tinia, who lives with her husband and two youngest children, is grateful to have the Food Bank’s support. “It’s great—it’s super. You get fresh foods that the kids love to eat. It helps us out on some of the meals that we can’t afford. Plus, they give you recipes.” Her own fresh-produce favorites are the broccoli and grapes.

When asked why she believes this service is important for the community, tears come to her eyes. “No one goes hungry,” she says simply.
