Food Bank also announces new officers for the Board of Directors
(Harrisburg, PA) – The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank recently appointed four new members to its Board of Directors. They will serve 2-year terms.
Glennis Harris currently serves as the senior vice president of customer experience at The GIANT Company, a grocery retailer with more than 190 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. She oversees all stores and the company’s e-commerce fulfillment centers as well as asset protection and safety, delivery operations and store support. As a board member, she will also serve on the Food Bank’s Finance Committee.
Patricia Husic is the president and CEO of Centric Bank, a company with eight locations in central Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia region. Headquartered in Harrisburg, Centric Bank is a leader in organic loan growth, a three-time recipient of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania and a seven-time award winner of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in central PA. As a board member, she will also serve on the Food Bank’s Governance Committee.
Steven Merrill, CPA, is senior manager at Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF) in Camp Hill. BSSF is a CPA and professional services firm with a history of providing top-notch audit, tax, and advisory services to clients in central PA and beyond. As a board member, he will also serve on the Food Bank’s Finance Committee.
Phuong Truong has been the executive director of the International Service Center (ISC), located in Harrisburg, for more than 40 years. The ISC has many programs serving central PA. This includes social services such as emergency food assistance and language support; refugee services helping with citizenship and interpretation; community development initiatives and national & international missions. As a board member, he will also serve on the Food Bank’s Agency Engagement Committee.
The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank also announced its new Board Officers for 2022. Scott Sherry of Nationwide Insurance will serve as President; David Ark, who is retired from TE Connectivity is the new Vice President; Carol Gauker of KPMG is Treasurer and Blake Lynch of WITF will serve as Secretary.
